  14. I've got a par and a tbc-iv, and they work great (IMHO). My only negative comments
  15. about the setup are:
  16.     . digitized amiga screens (i.e. workbench) really show the compression loss
  17.     . ImageMaster R/T doesn't like the DDR: device (it hangs). I don't know
  18.       which one's the culprit, but I wish it worked.
  19.     . it exports PAR, ILBM-24, TIFF etc. but has no JPEG export capability.
  20.     . weird interface that only looks like it should be guideline compliant.
  21. However, for the most part, I am very happy with the package. I've been able to
  22. do things (finally!) that I've been wanting to do for years, and the support for
  23. lightwave is transparently provided as a disk device (DDR:) that accepts ILBM-24's
  24. and will convert them as they are written into stills or append them into animations.
  25. With the TBC-IV and the PAR going into my Toaster, I am able to do a useful form
  26. of A/B editing. You have to adjust the signal phase prefs in the PAR software 
  27. (which doesn't get saved in the prefs - you have to reset every time).

  29. Without the signal phase adjustment, the PAR input to the Toaster is slightly
  30. off from the TBC's input (for my cabling, anyways) and the colors are incorrect.

  32. I've been successful at creating ARexx scripts to sequence framestores transitioning
  33. to different PAR animations. Now all I have to do is get a way to reliably sync
  34. the Studio 16 (AD516, Sunrize Industries) samples with PAR animations, and I will
  35. have a functional way to assemble videos straight off the hard drives.
